I think that is about right, these are three style I adore and would love to decorate my house as. My only problem picking which one I like the best to decorate my whole house. Lucky for me I still have a few years before hubby retires from the military and we have our forever home. I should be able to define my taste by then...yah right!

Did you sleep in late? Were you lazy? Were you productive? Did you do anything special? Tell us all about it.


This weekend was fabulous.

-Friday night I did more work on Sook's blog, made myself a Gin & Tonic and watched TV with the fam.
-Saturday morning I wanted to sleep in but as usual, that didn't happen. The rain came back to SoCal.
-Saturday afternoon there was a brake in the rain, the sun came through so we all went to Dog Beach. The girls played in the surf and had a blast.
-Saturday night we made homemade pizza for dinner a pigged out.
-Sunday morning woke to rain again. Hubby was up at 0330..poor Sook had been sick all over the house..must have been the salt water from the beach.
-Sunday afternoon hubby and I took the girls to the base theater for Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. It was very cute.
-Sunday night I made a yummy cheesy chicken casserole. The girls had bath time and we all hit the rack early.

I am a little late on this part of FMM. The theme of the day is "Did you watch the Super Bowl?"

If so, who were you rooting for?
 * I was rooting for the Saints. One bc/ they had never been, two b/c they are so close with their community and 3 b/c of Breeze. Loved him almost as much as Aikman when he was playing.



Where did you watch it/not watch it?
* At home. We didn't make plan this year with friends since DH was gone and didn't get back until late yesterday. (Thanks to the military for ruining our Super Bowl once again)

What did you eat?
* I made beef stew and some rolls. It turned out a little spicy so the kids had to resort to hot dogs.

Favorite superbowl commercial?
* See previous post 


Least favorite?
* The Super Bowl Shuffle..WTF??


What did you think of the half time show?
* It sucked! We ended up flipping channels until it was over.


Who do you wish would have been the halftime show?
I do not really care, I never really watch it. Last time I did was when Janet Jackson had her "wardrobe malfunction".

What is inspiring you right now?

Hmmmm, it's hard to say, my mind goes in so many different directions. Some day's it's my girls, a certain blog, colors in the sky at sunset, a recipe, a news article, ect.. Currently I am content. There is no driving force. This week I do plan on sewing some Valentine's gifts for C's classmates, making a Pillow Case dress for a girlfriend, and starting on my girls summer dresses. I think this is a good start and once I get into it, I will be continuously inspired to do more.

Check it out)and I came across Sugar 'N Spice & Mostly Nice (lol love the name)..so anyways she is participating in Friend Makin Monday hosted by Amber at {aefilkins}. Now you know how I love to find new link ups, ie..Post It Tuesday, WW, ect..so yay..another one ofr me to have fun with!
Okay here we go....

The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window... It is a beautiful sunny day with fluffy white clouds. I see my neighbors building a new fence (our common fence went down during last weeks storm). Wonder how much they will get done since there is another storm coming tonight.

I am thinking..... It's 12:30 and it's awesome I get to eat Apple Cinnamon Cheerios for lunch. I wonder if M will finish her whole lunch today...wait...where's the dog!

I am thankful... for the love of my life and my beautiful girls. As long as we are all together, we can do anything and anywhere the military wants to put us.


I am praying.. okay I tried. I had it posted for less than 2 minutes but I'm not ready. I could feel my anxiety rising, I had to delete what was written here previously. I am not ready. I pray someday I will be able to open that part of myself up to everyone, and I tried, but it's not time yet. Sorry if your like "wtf is she talking about"... just ignore this part..lol Someday I will explain :)



I am reading... Cesar's Way by Cesar Millan. Love him, love his shows. We DVR all the episodes for reference.

I am creating.... nothing right now. Hopefully I will have time soon to get back to sewing.


From the kitchen.... Listening to M talk to Sookie while Sookie chews away on her squeaky toy, it's so cute!


Around the house.....CNN in the background, stuffing from Sookies toy all over my living room rug...and the wafting smell of a dirty diaper...think someone needs to be changed..be right back.


One of my favorite things....the smell of muffins baking in the oven.


A few plans for the rest of the week.... tomorrow after school we are going to visit with some friends (finally another adult to talk to..hubby doesn't count..lol), since it will start raining again they say guess it will not be an exciting week. Breakfast, school, home, lunch school, home, dinner, bed..wow so boring! I will try to get a good walk or run in with Sookie in between brakes in the rain.
