I am a California city girl now living with my family in the beautiful country side of Northeastern PA. Living off a dirt rural road on several acres, makes a city girl feel inspired. It is time to get back to basics. We have become such a busy, instant gratification seeking, processed food eating, no time for your neighbor’s kind of society. What happened to common sense and common curtsey? Saying “yes maam”, “no sir”, and cooking for your family?
I want my girls to grow up having fun, feeling free and yet know what a hard day's work is all about. Growing a garden and raising our own food (as much as possible). Learning about sustainability and being part of a community. It is important they respect others, have a sense of independence and self worth and can take responsibility for their own actions. All the things I want for my girls, are what I feel we have lost as a society.
