Mama's A Mess Giveaway

So one of my BFF's Sharon at Mama's A Mess just posted an awesome giveaway! Not only did she just have her blogiversary (which we forgot) but she won a You Can Make This contest and got some yummy patterns. So being the sweetheart she is, she wanted to share her winnings with everyone. I am a little late on this part of FMM. The theme of the day is "Did you watch the Super Bowl?"

If so, who were you rooting for?
 * I was rooting for the Saints. One bc/ they had never been, two b/c they are so close with their community and 3 b/c of Breeze. Loved him almost as much as Aikman when he was playing.



Where did you watch it/not watch it?
* At home. We didn't make plan this year with friends since DH was gone and didn't get back until late yesterday. (Thanks to the military for ruining our Super Bowl once again)

What did you eat?
* I made beef stew and some rolls. It turned out a little spicy so the kids had to resort to hot dogs.

Favorite superbowl commercial?
* See previous post 


Least favorite?
* The Super Bowl Shuffle..WTF??


What did you think of the half time show?
* It sucked! We ended up flipping channels until it was over.


Who do you wish would have been the halftime show?
I do not really care, I never really watch it. Last time I did was when Janet Jackson had her "wardrobe malfunction".

Super Bowl : Best Commercials Play By Play Each Quarter

I am a football girl. Love to watch it, love the Superbowl, however it's always better when my team is playing but I digress. I also like millions of others can not wait to see what commercials will be shown. So this year for the hell of it I am going to post what I think was/is the best commercial of each Quarter. Instead of doing 4 different  posts, I will just update this one as it goes. Please feel free to tell me which ones you thought were great!! Go Saints!

So here is my favorite 1st Quarter Commercial: Why? Jerk Guy, Smart Dog..lol





2nd Quarter: Unless I missed something I did not see any commercial that struck me as my "fav". So instead here is my runner up for the 1st Quarter :)





So I suck. I am not paying attention to the commercials anymore and what quarter it is. Hubby has been in the field (thanks  military..on Super Bowl weekend too) and just returned home so I have been chatting it up with him about the weeks events. I still see the awesome plays the Saints are making tho! The interception  and ran back for a TD..perfect! and now it's 25 seconds left in the game and the Saints will take it...WHO DAT!

So here is a commercial I thought was great the last quarter....these cops are great!





I love Favre and I love that he can make fun of himself....

Facebook Networked Blogs

Okay so like I need anymore apps, pages, blogs, buttons whatever but I couldn't resist. I have seen this Facebook Networked Blogs widget on everyone's blogs and while I follow them I really had no idea what exactly it was. So last night while rewriting code on my blog (because that's not hard enough) I decided to look into it.

So then what happened? Yep, I got one for my blog..I am such a sucker. However it is really cool b/c I am on FB as much as I am on here. Usually I have both tabs open at the same time. But this way whether I am on here or FB I will not miss any posts from my fav blogs b/c it pops up in the Live Feed..sweet.

My Blog Tribe

Today's Challenge on SITS was to create our own Blog Tribe. Our 'tribe" is to consist of 5 bloggers that are like your super commenters I guess. The ones that you know as soon as you post they will be there to comment about it. They support you, will laugh with and maybe at you, and will always tell it like it is. This is hard for me to think of my top 5 because I have so many awesome readers and I love each and every comment. Now Even Your Dog Can Tweet 24/7!

So I was listening as I always do to "The Show" on my way to take C to school (LOVE THEM) and heard Sky reporting about this new device coming out from Mattel called Puppy Tweet. I knew when I got home I had to get more info on it. Are we really that involve in our online worlds that now our dogs can have the ability to tweet along with us? I guess the answer is yes.

This is what I found on CNN.

"Puppy Tweets is a plastic tag with a sound and motion sensor that you attach to your pet's dog collar and connect its USB receiver to your computer. Then you create a Twitter account for your dog and enjoy updates all day from Sparky or whatever its name is on your computer or smartphone.

The tag is set with several pre-recorded tweets that are triggered by the dog's activities. So if he's running around, you might get a tweet that says "I finally caught that tail I've been chasing and...OOUUUCHH!"
If Sparky is napping, he'll tweet "Somedays it feels like my paw is permanently on the snooze button!" If he's making a ruckus, his tweet will let you know that as well, saying"YAHOOOOOOO! Somedays you just gotta get your bark on."

"Puppy Tweets capitalizes on two popular trends - the use of social media and real time communication, as well as peoples' extreme love for their dogs," said Susan Russo, Mattel's director of marketing.
Puppy Tweets is part of the No. 1 toymaker's line-up of new products for 2010 that it showcased to members of the media Thursday ahead of the industry's annual Toy Fair in New York next month.
Jim Silver, a toy industry analyst and editor-in-chief of TimetoPlayMag.com, said he was "curious" about Puppy Tweets when he first saw it.

"I thought that a 5-year-old doesn't know about Twitter," he said. But he said that Mattel is going after an entirely different market and "expanding beyond kids" with Puppy Tweets. "This is a product for adults."

Does it make sense?

Said Silver,"It's a good thing to try especially since no one else has come up with a pet product quite like this."
Puppy Tweets will be available at retailers in the fall, and will carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.


So would you spend 30 bucks to buy this for your dog?
