I decided this afternoon after all my running around (p.s. found some wicked fabrics today on sale at Jo'anns), I was going to enjoy my Saturday night. No working, no sewing, no cleaning, nothin. And what better way to enjoy my Saturday but with a drink...and then I thought...and S'more Brownies!! So after trying to persuade my hubby to go to the store for me and being rejected, I put on my big girl panties and went back out..aghh.
My delima now..where to go. I want Vodka but also need groceries for brownies. Being that we live in Virginia I would have to drive to an ABC store for liquor which is not anywhere around my local grocery store. I still do not understand the point of an ABC store and i've been here almost 3 years already and they always close early! I'm a Cali girl and we have liquor everywhere and anywhere, one stop shopping...but not here. Anyways I then remember..duhh we're Military and while I will have to go to the Commissary and Packing Store for all my items, they are next door to each other...score!
Okay so long story short, the brownies are to dye for however very, very sweet..have a glass of water handy. I did not "make" the brownie part from scratch as it says in the recipe, but Duncan Hines did and it worked just as good and was so much faster.
My drink tonight....Vanilla Vodka chilled and shaken in a Martini shaker with ice and Pineapple Orange juice....it's fierce!!
Okay so I know i'm not a "food stylist" and to me my brownie in the left pic kinda looks like Eggs Benedict, but it still rocks.... So kick back, watch a flick and enjoy a drink and dessert on me :)
