JumpStart Get Moving Family Fitness Review and Giveaway

Once again JumpStart has come out with something fun that we can do together as a family. It is so important to me that my girls never get stuck for extended periods sitting behind a computer playing games or on their butt playing the Wii. As crazy and full of energy as they are (and sometimes draining on me) I want them to stay that way.

Brooke Burke a mother of 4, has teamed up with JumpStart to create this awesome game that fully incorporates movement and promotes being fit. This new game is called Get Moving Family Fitness. C and I have been having a blast competing against each other. Even little M try's to get in on the fun. Just like the other JumpStart games we have played C's favorite thing to do first is to create her Jumpee girl. After we have our ultra cool clothes and bright pink hair we headed for the games. So far my favorite is the Quarterback Toss, I am pretty good at hitting the targets. Maybe the Cowboys will draft me..lol C loves the Baseball Batter and loves to shoot 3 pointers in Basketball. We have fun changing the scenery from fairytale land, to giant bugs and sometimes we even play in outer space.

JumpStart Get Moving is defiantly a game everyone in your family can play and enjoy together.

JumpStart Escape from Adventure Island Review & Contest

As many of you know I did a review several months back for JumpStart's online educational game (if not click here). Well JumpStart is no longer just online, they have branched out to the Wii. I was lucky enough that Jumpstart provided me with a copy for a review.

Escape From Adventure Island is a fun game for kids ages 5-9 and is rated E for Everyone. In the game you crash land your blimp on Adventure Island...ooh no! You now need to navigate your way through the Island completing missions to earn sand dollars that will trade for helium tanks that in turn will fix your blimp.

Just like in the online JumpStart game you get to choose a Jumpee character, this is always C's favorite part. You also get a tree house to decorate. There are several different areas you can visit on the Island or go down into the deep water in The Scuba Hub and play underwater games.

As always this JumpStart game is packed with over 150 learning skills from math and reading to critical thinking skills. How can you not love that!

Jumpstart Review & Giveaway

What kid does not like video games? What parent does not like education? On JumpStart.com both interests come together into one educational online game. For ages 3-10 yrs this 3-D adventure world teaches kids reading, math, comprehension skills and much more while having fun!

Now C is not a big computer user so when the company contacted me I was intrigued. Would C understand it? Would she be able to play it? When you first launch your game Frankie is there to welcome you and explain all the features. From there you get to create and name your own character called a Jumpee. C loved it and named hers "Jessica Sillytree". We have only made it through a few areas of the park, but no kidding we have spent hours playing. I literally lost count after 3 1/2 hours of continuous play, we were just having a blast. The graphics are cool and the animals friends you meet along the way are too cute. This is very age appropriate and easy to use. Basic mouse skills and sometimes using the arrow keys on the key board is all you need. For the parents they have a blog and a disscusion board where you can chat with other parents. We give it 4 thumbs up!
