"The greatest glory of a free-born people is to transmit that freedom to their children." -William Havard
"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot." ~Mark Twain
"How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!" ~Maya Angelou
"I think there is one higher office than president and I would call that patriot." ~Gary Hart
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy
Last weekend my girls got to ride in the Wilkes-Barre Veterans Day Parade with their daddy. On top of the big military tracker trailer, they smiled and waved their American flags. I walked along side the truck with the Marines and other Marine Corps wives and snapped pictures. It is something over whelming to see people in the chilly air standing along the road, waving, whistling and clapping as you walk by.
The honor these people, perfect strangers, gave to our military men and woman was extraordinary as they gave up their time and comfort to be there for them. Such an honor to walk along side with them and capture the moments.
On today, Veterans Day, do not forget to thank a service member past and present for their sacrifice.

Beautiful... Lovely images and a great reminder. So thankful for your husband and others who so proudly and humbly serve. God bless.
Beautiful pictures and quotes! My dad was a Marine and my Grandpa was in the Army so I have a lot of respect for our men and women in uniform. Happy Veteran's Day weekend! Stopping by from Sunday Citar.
