Family Tree Craft Project

Lately C's school has done the most adorable crafts that I just have to share with you all. This craft comes from Easter. Her teachers had asked for pictures of our family for a "special project". I could not have imagined how they would have used the pictures. So when we her class had their Easter party I was so excited and blown away by what I saw....

It was our family tree..literally. Every child made a tree with all their pictures as a present to their moms. How stinking cute is that!

The kids painted tiny terra cotta pots and used green tissue paper and dried beans as rocks and grass. They found twigs with little off shoot branches,  then cut out the faces and strung them with wire and hung them along the tree. It is so precious, I just love it!

This to me is a perfect idea for a grandmothers birthday. I think we might make one for our Gamma, pretty sure she'll love it.
