How was your Valentines Day?

So how was everyone's Valentines Day? I know I'm late asking but hubs was home for 4 days which is nice but leaves me having to share my computer time..lol So our VDay went great. Hubby had a wonderful idea to drive up to Lake Moreno for the day. Have a picnic, bbq hotdogs, show the girls how to make Smore's and do some hiking. The drive was nice about an hour east of San Diego. No one on the road but peeps heading out to the sand dunes with their ATV's, bikes and dune buggies.

Once we got to the lake we found the perfect spot ever! The picnic table was under a 400 year old (give or take 100 years) Oak tree and right next to a new playground! Perfect stop of the girls, they could come and go as they please and we could see the Lake in the distance.

The girls loved roasting the marshmallows and making Smore's...who doesn't love melted chocolate and marshmallow? After all the picnic fun we took a hike through the dried lake bed (it was very very low) down to the water. Sook thought she was in heaven. Nose to the ground like a Bloodhound and led the way finding all the perfect trails for us to follow. C & M found big rocks to climb all over and once we reached the lake the water was crystal clear. It was a beautiful day!
