A Pig, A Fish And A Motorcycle Walk Into A Bento....

C's Lunch
Pig and flower cheese sami's, carrots, Clementine,
homemade granola bar, and yellow baby tomatoes.

M's Lunch
Fish cheese sami, granola bar,
carrots and cantaloupe.

Daddy's Lunch
Roast beast, pepperoni and cheese sami, granola bar,
 carrots, and a Clementine.

I know the post title sounds like the beginning to a bag joke, but it made me laugh anyways..lol However there is no stupid ending, just yummy food..and a surprise. The surprise being hubbz asked if he was getting a bento for lunch too. Of course this was after I started cleaning up from making the girls. Oh well. A while back I posted the new black bento I bought it just for him. He has only used it once..and that was at home. He said he didn't need a bento lunch at work.....and now he does.  Just not "shapes and stuff" he says.

I guess he can't very well be sitting around with all his Marines and open up a box full of  Hello Kitty shaped sami's and flower shaped fruit. Although I would love to be there to see it! So I did a "manly" bento but added my special touch with a press of a motorcycle cookie cutter. I think he'll be surprised when he opens his lunch today :)

I finally got around to trying a recipe I have been drooling over. The homemade granola bars in today's bentos are from the genius mind of Shannon at What's For Lunch At Our House. I followed her recipe and it turned out awesome and everyone loves them! I did add 1/4cup of milled/ground Flaxseed to ours. Plus for the fruit I used a dried blueberries, cherries, raspberries mix with chocolate and peanut butter swirled chips..YUMMY! Thanks Shannon for sharing the awesome recipe, can't wait to experiment some more!

Lol! I torture my hubby sometimes by sending him to work with a pink bento. :) He teaches high school and his kids get a real kick out of it. I like the heart you snuck in on the clementine!

These are too cute! Now I feel like a slacker mom ;) My kids would love these, I need to get busy. Do you just use cookie cutters to get all the cute shapes? We don't have Bentos, but use the Easy Lunch Boxes, love them!

I love it!

I got bored the other day, so my husband got a bento, complete with a longhorn made of cheese (he went to UT in Austin) since it's the start of football season. ;o)
