Tonight while hubby and I were deciding what to make for dinner I remembered I bought some Vegetable Pork Boa's from Marukai Market a week or so back. I still had some leftover rice and of course raw veggies and fruit so I decided mommy was going to have a bento box for dinner and hubby could fend for himself..lol
So I had a steamed Bao, onigiri, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes and pitted/halved cherries on a bed of spinach. Inside my little bottle is Furikake (a seasoning that is sprinkled over rice). When I was at the market I noticed several different varieties, unfortunately being unable to read Japanese I picked this one based on the ingredient list and picture. There are 4 packets inside, 2 red and 2 green. I gave the green a shot and it was delish.
It was an awesome dinner and like I knew I would, I loved the Bao! When I lived in Sacramento there was a bakery I was introduced to by coworkers. They made the best pork baos fresh every morning but they were different. Instead of veggies and pork it was this sweet, caramelized pulled pork...so amazing! I am so finding that bakery again next time I drive up for a visit.

Thanks Ruby but you do not need a actual bento box..this is just a tupperware container. Use what you have and make it fierce :)
