Muffin Tin Monday - Mini Series : Birds and Nests

It has been quite some time since I have participated in MTM. Honestly it's because I try to do it on Monday and it just never ends up working out. So this time (tah dah) I did it on Sunday and had it ready to schedule post today. This is not a new concept, I am not a genius, many MTM'rs do this but I just wised up to the idea. What took me so long..I dunno.

Anyways Muffin Tin Mom is doing a mini series for the next few weeks all having to do with spring. After hanging with her last week and tossing around ideas I got a wave of inspiration. This is THE BEST MTM I think I have ever done and I hope only to out do myself next week.

What is it?

* Spaghetti nest tossed with EVOO and Garlic sprinkled with Sesame Seeds. A Egg chick with a carrot beak and food coloring eyes.

* "Bird Feeder" pretzels. Rod pretzels spread with peanut butter and rolled in nuts and sesame seeds.

* Marshmallow and "Toasties" cereal nest with Peeps

* Bologna and cheese bird sandwich with food coloring for the beak and eyes

The idea for the spaghetti and egg chick was from Adventures in Bento Making. I have totally fallen for her blog, so cute...and yummy!

Yours wins, I was searching the bento world and found this chick in the egg and almost made it but I thought it might be too hard... Yours looks great... great minds think alike.

Your meal looks so pretty! And I did the same thing - always trying to do it on a Monday and could never get around to it! So I finally did it on Sunday this time; I'm a little slow, too! :)
