Justine Dorsey Colorwheel CD Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

Music is a big part of our family life so finding the right music for a 3 and 5 year old to listen to can be tough now a days. C has been singing since before she could talk. She would pickup the beat or melody from a song and hum along while we drove around town. Now she sings and because she sings and will pick up the lyrics to any song so I have to be careful what I listen to. She has her "Kidz Rock" CD's and she loves ABBA and now added to her collection is Justine Dorsey's new CD "Colorwheel".

At only 14 this young lady has amazing talent. Not only is she an actress, yes she plays "Sophie McCallister" on the hit TV series Brothers and Sisters, but a wonderful up and coming recording artist. Her new CD "Colorwheel" has 11 tracks and I am quite impressed. Some of the songs were silly, fun and innocent, some like #7 Shut My Big Mouth made me want to dance. However the songs I think I like the most is #10 English Rose because she is singing acoustic and you can hear how lovely she is. Also #11 Let It Rain is beautiful and moving. Justine has such a wonderful vocal range with great control.

It was not just my thoughts about this CD I wanted, but my girls. So while we drove around town running errands I popped in the CD. They both love it. C has already picked up on some of the lyrics and M is closely behind her sister and figuring out the melodies. What I love most of all is that this is something we can listen to together and I do not have to worry about the underlying message or the words being sang, it's fun, it's holsum and we now listen to it several times a week.

If you would like to know more about Justine see her interview here. Some of us bloggers got to write in a question to be asked for the interview...ahemmm, mine was asked first..lol

Very talented singer and songwriter! The song was cute - there are days when I felt like that.
I suppose it's jut my speakers, but I wish the backgrounds were a little quieter so Justine Dorsey's voice stood out more.
