Tutorials??
So I just finished making a pillowcase dress for my girlfriends niece. It has been awhile since I made one and since I do not have the measurements of the little one I had to wing it. I figured since I was winging it, I should make a tut to share. What is unique about this pillowcase dress is that it is not made with a pillowcase but regular fabric.
The only problem I ran into was the size of the arm hole. So I went online (like I wasn't already right) I found a great site called A Room Somewhere, there I found her tutorial also for a pillowcase dress made with fabric. While I cut 2 separate pieces of fabric she used on and folded it (smart). I also found how she gauges the arm holes and I went off the idea. So thanks Leslie in Texas for the great tut find, it helped tons!
So here is the link to my Flickr so you can follow along with my Tutorial if you like. You can also find it now on my side bar

Absolutely adorable. I really wish I could use your tut, but I'm clumsy when it comes to crafty things. But that dress is just sooo cute!
very nice! I made one for my baby last year & did not come out nice like yours! I like the serging around the edges idea. I wasn't very good w/ the bias tape. I do not have a serger but maybe a tight zig zag stitch might work? I enjoy reading your blog! :)
Steph,
It is SO adorable! You are so talented! Thank you so much for making it for me! I know my niece (and her mommy) will adore it as much as I do!
