Today was a long day, but wow was it fun! 2 mile run/walk with the dog and 2 girls in tow at 0730. Grocery shopping, and then the best part of the day...Horton Plaza. Why was this the best part you may ask. Well it wasn't for the lack of the one way streets in downtown San Diego or driving in circles to find parking (I do not get to the downtown area very much...really never), but we found parking and heading to the plaza. As we got closer to the Ann Taylor Loft we could see lots of pink and people (a great combo if you ask me) and I knew we had to be in the right place.
There she was, Lisa Lillien Hungry Girl herself sitting behind a table to my right signing her book for eager fans and straight ahead the Fiber One tasting table. I headed to the Yoplait Fiber One table first to meet my contact Emilie. An adorable gal and the biggest sweetheart. We chit chatted for a minute about what was going currently and then of course the girls (yep I ended up bringing C & M) where ready for some tasty samples. Strawberry and Key Lime where the pick of the day. Both I adore but the girls are purists and love their plain strawberry. P.S. HUGE chunks of strawberry in those cups! Defiantly not skimpy on the good stuff.
We just arrived and tasting some yummy Fiber One.
Strawberry..yumm!
You brave soul!
So finally after taking lots of pics it was my turn to meet Lisa Lillien. I have to say first off she is gorgeous, fabulous and a total sweetheart, but sad for me because I didn't know what to say to her. I didn't want to be a typical fan saying something cliche like "I love you", "I love your website", I am a Facebook fan", "I follow on Twitter.", "I get your daily emails"(okay... can you say stalker!), "how do you come up with some of your wonderful recipes"...blah blah blah. I really didn't want to scare her but I wanted to let her know how much I just enjoy her site, recipes and tips. Not so hard to say now, pretty simple, but I was at a loss of words. However I did get a picture with her (yay me) and a signed copy of her new book "200 under 200"..rock on!
EEEEKKKK! I squeal (inside) with excitement :)
Strike a pose fiber girls!
Girls going back for seconds, must be good stuff!
The girls and I hung out for an hour or so and chatted it up with some wonderful girls from the Yoplait (p.s. besides Emilie I met 2 other fantastic girls who were with Yoplait..and because I suck like that I do not remember their names but OMG if one of them did not look dead on like Anne Hathaway who by the by I adore! You know I wanted to say something but didn't want to be an idiot cause you know everyone she meets says the same thing) and HG staffers to Chris the event coordinator (Oorah former Marine). I also got to meet another blogger, wahoo! She runs a blog called My Good Cents it is full of free stuff, coupons, deals, ect.. All that stuff we need now a days just to keep a bit more money in our pockets. So if your so inclined please stop in and say hello :)

Looks like a great day!
Looks like you had an awesme day! I wish I met a blogger in person. It would be cool!
Awesome :D
Dropping in from SITS to say hi :D
wow! sounds really fun! I am going to have to look up who Lisa Lillien is (ummm clueless!) and find out more about this fiber yogurt combo...
Looks like such a fun event, isn't it nice to meet someone you admire! I had never heard of Hungry Girl until I did a review of that yogurt. We loved it, a big hit here and now ER will eat yogurt which she never would before!
Okay I think I went back and finished blog stalking you for today Steph☺ I'm sorry I didn't get back to you on your email. I was really sick with a double ear infection that became a chest cold and I almost had to be hospitalized because my sugars were all up and down. So I got behind on a lot of stuff.
Looks like you had a great day! I am glad the rain didn't stop you from going!
You got some great photos :) I didn't know what to say to her either... I think I said something like I'm a blogger.. and then she gave me a look like "uhh.. good for you" haha.. :)

I dropped by for a bit, around 3p-4p, and got a shot with her, as well! Yes, meeting someone of her stature is humbling.
And you are sooooo RIGHT about the celeb look-alike! I avoided saying anything, as well, but I couldn't stop double-taking!
